Thanks, Sebastian Since the board has a max FSB of 133mhz(266ddr or pc2100) you can go as high as an AthlonXP 2400+ or an AthlonMP 2600+. This is according to Giga-Byte's website. http://www.giga-byte.com/MotherBoard...ts_GA-7DXR.htm |

Thanks, Sebastian AMD Athlon XP 2400+ (Easily found still) AMD Athlon XP 2600+ 266fsb version (Very hard to find.) However, I wish Gigabyte would add support for the MP's though. Then the board could take a MP2800+ Even adding support for the new Duron's would be a help as well. But you're asking for miracles there. But I am running a 2400+ with no problems, just make sure that the motherboard is flashed with F10 bios beforehand. Even the backup one. - -- Skipai -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: PGPfreeware 7.0.3 for non-commercial use http://www.pgp.com iQA/AwUBQWNoxZxl8H7mp9nsEQJbjgCg7ExM5FerCG5ha/DJXnSOw/mojpgAn0tX 1xzzson0LuRy+f22tVke3wmv =R4Pz -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- |
