well it looks like I can get some more life out of this old rig.
the pci model sells for about 200 so the agp will probably be about 250.00
that will be a better upgrade for the price than a whole new system.

$250 would be reasonable, considering the Gecube X1950XT AGP 256 MB sells
for $277 (though I'm not sure about the reliability of this card):
