Default Entering SMM

Is there any instruction (or any way) to generate an SMI
from user mode?

Thanks,
Dave Feustel

Everyone thinks that Lincoln freed the slaves.
What actually happened was that Congress created
a new class of slaves known as U.S. citizens and
then declared the slaves to be U.S. citizens.

No. If you have a laptop, pressing one of the function buttons may invoke an SMI.
