Compaq Presario 4640 Serial Number can someone provide?

I have a Compaq Presario 4640 and I have the original Restore Disk.

But I cant read the serial number from the side of the computer. The
sticker is slightly torn and I cant read all the numbers.

Can someone please provide me with a serial number for the Compaq
Presario 4640.

It comes with a DVD Rom drive.

What are you asking?
The serial number of the presario is probably unrelated to the
software?? If it is, you can probably guess the missing numbers
and have it work. It also may be in the bios screen.

If you're asking about the license key for a windows installation,
that's another issue.

Which operating system?
A quick google indicates that the machine shipped with windows 95???
You should be able to find keygenerators and license keys by the zillion
for win95 online. If you can read the registry, the key should be there
in plain text. There also exist programs that extract that key
automatically for you. That's the easiest route if you can boot the
machine with the existing sw.
