Compaq 177454-001 / Accton 1207D Fast Ethernet and Windows ProtectionError
Deskpro EX/P3-1.4Ghz/120Gb/Win98SE
ATI 9600XT AGP video One PCI slot occupied as noted below Replaced an Intel 12041 based 10TX PCI NIC with a Compaq 177454-001 (identifies as an Accton 1207D) 10/100TX Fast Ethernet PCI NIC which throws a 100% repeatable Windows Protection Error (no other error info). No conflicts, but swapped PCI slots anyway. No joy. Any ideas?
