Default Evo N160 questions

I have a Compaq Evo N160 notebook in for repair. My diagnosis is that the ATI
video subsystem has failed. It blue screens when started in the regular
manner, starts up just fine in safe mode. Hard drive, CPU and memory
diagnostics all run flawlessly. Anybody ever encountered this before?

Next questions:

Are there other models of Evo notebooks that use the same or a plug-compatible
motherboard?

Are there models of Presario notebooks that use the same or a plug-compatible
motherboard?

TIA... Ben Myers
