Don't know if this helps as i'm PCI-E
but...
I have athlon 3500 and 1gb ram.
I was running 128mb 6600GT and scored 3600 in 3d mark 2005.
I bought the newly released 6800GS(256mb) and now score over 5800.

In article tg1tf.3966$yx.3956@trndny01, Peter says...
Is it worth going from 6600gt agp to 6800 128mb agp card on an amd 64
motherboard ? TIA

No. A 6800GT will give you a 40% increase but the best is the 7800GT
which will give you a 98% performance increase.

In the UK, a 7800GT can be found for around £200 now, roughly the same
price as a 6800GT if you can find one.

I'm so grateful to the USA for their contribution to the war on terror.
After all, if they hadn't funded the IRA for 30 years, we wouldn't know
what terror was.

6800 No.
6800GT 256MB or better, yes.

Can you get any better than a 6800 on AGP?

I would buy new Mobo, CPU, VGA etc... and put your old bits on Ebay, you
will be surprised how much you get for them... ;-)

I saw a 6800gt for about $300 us and they are scarce most sold out but i
just built an agp system and I dont think its worth getting a new
motherboard just yet..
