Copying XP to New Disk
I was going to a new hard disk and was using Partition Magic 8.0 to
copy the win xp partition to a new disk. This is what I did: copied the win xp partition from old disk to the new disk. put the copied partition as the first partition on the disk. make this partition the "active" partition. make other partitions on the disk logical and not active. boot up on the new disk. the disk did not seem to be bootable. What did I do wrong? Mike |

Copying XP to New Disk
AFAIK, PM doesn't copy data, it only manages partitions.
Go to the web site for the HDD vendor and look for a copy disc utility. These utilities tend to make image copies of drives smaller to larger. Never had to use one.
