Default Which gfx card do i go for ??

Im buying a new system (Abit board with 2600 AMD CPU) and Im not sure
what gfx card to buy, in the roughly 100 quid region.
I have the option of the following 3 and would appreciate some input
as which one to get

ATI RADEON 9600 PRO Priced at 110 quid
Chaintech Nvidia GeForec4 Ti 4200 128Mb Priced at 130 quid
Geforce FX 5600 256MB Priced at 120 quid

Thanks in advance

What's a quid? Sorry.
The 9600 Pro is the best of that group of three you mentioned. You might
also want to check on the FX5700 and FX5700 Ultra and also the FX5900.

quid = slang for UKP

i`d forget about the ti4200.

go for the fx5600 as it's a ti4200 + DX9. and i wouldnt bother with 256mb
either - the fx aint fast enough for the resolutions that need 256mb.

i`d look at http://www.tomshardware.com/ as theres a fair few gfx card
showdown's between nvidia and ati.

without looking, i beleive the ati card is probably the best of the 3.

apprently the NV40 is due for release feb 2004. and going off the hype - it
looks very promising. then again, as with most things, dont count your
chickens untill they`ve hatched.
