Default Disable the cancel button on HP 4XXX printers

I am looking for a way to disable the "Cancel" button on HP 4XXX
printers (e.g., HP 4050, 4100, 4200, and 4300). That is, I would like
to be able to make some configuration change to the printer so that no
matter how many times you push the Cancel button while a job is
printing, it ignores this and keeps printing.

The only alterntative to this I can see is to make the Cancel button
physically inaccessible. While this is a possibility, I would rather
have a "clean" solution. But perhaps someone has figured a clever way
to physically disable the Cancel button without putting the printer in
a box or placing some sort of shield over it. If so, I would be happy
to hear about that, too.

Thanks in advance, A. Lewenberg

P.S. Please no responses of "why in the world would you want to do
this?" Just assume that I have my good reasons. Because I do.
