P4P800 Reboot message
Your boot sequence is wrong. Your prolly asking it to boot from an empty
CDrom drive. Goodluck, Brad "Methos" wrote in message m... When I power on my computer, I make it past the POST, but then I get a message at the top of the screen telling me "Reboot and select proper boot device or insert boot media and press any key." I have checked and checked my BIOS settings, and cannot find any valid reason why I cannot power up the computer and get to XP Pro. I like the board (P4P800) and I don't want to go through the hassle of having to send it back, and deal with ASUS. Any ideas? I have booted with only the HD in the primary IDE slot, without any optical drives, and the computer boots right to Windows XP Pro. With the other drives plugged into the Secondary slot, I do not have this success. However, once I power on the computer, I can reboot several times in a row with success. Please let me know if you have any ideas. I would greatly appreciate it. |
