Default SP2000 controlling peripheral devices

Hi !

I have a VB DLL that I use to write receipts from my program on a
SP2000. This works fine, but in the case where I want to open a cash
register manually I run into a problem...The printer feeds a bit of
paper and then cuts it even though I dont print anything ?!?

Is there a Command to send to the printer that activates a peripheral
device without printing anything ??

Thanks in advance !
/Örjan
