Default 4.6cat aiw 8500 128 gamma problem redux...

I posed last week, that my desktop gamma setting does not kick in unless I
actually select the color tab in advanced settings.. we have TWO aiw 8500
128 radeons on two machines here, and the exact same thing is happening on
the second system.. so I suspect some conflict ether with other software, or
a consistently reproducible bug.

Can anyone confirm that using this card, with the new drivers, that it does
work?

ATI's solution was to reinstall the latest drivers.. and I've reinstalled
4.4, 4.5 and 4.6 again, and all now share the same problem.
