Default Ledatek A310TD MyVivo (FX5600) - does not recognize Tv

Ok, here we go .......

Problem Summary:
-------------------
The tv is connected to the svhs port but is not detected

My UNoverclocked system:
--------------------------
cpu: amd 1800+
mobo: epox 8kha+ (via 266A)
ram: 256 infineon
vga: leadtek A310 TD MyVivo

os: win xp pro sp1

drivers chipset: 4in1 4.48
drivers vga: nvidia_45.23, leadtek_44.69, Nnidia_WDM-Vivo_2.13

The Setup:
--------------
the tv is connected to the graphics card via the so called 'vivo-cable'
plus a 3 meter composite extension cable. the vivo-cable is connected to
the svhs port of the graphics card.
another option is to connect the vcr in a similar way using a scart-
composite or a scart-svhs adaptor.

The Procedu
---------------
1. Deinstallation of old drivers (matrox)
2. exchange of old an new board in the system - boot
3. installation of latest reseller drivers (leadtek) - reboot
4. connect tv set to card, switch tv set on - reboot
5. attempt to configure the displays in Display properties - failure
6. Trouble shooting: Various driver versions together with latest wdm
drivers and without; Various connection options of tv and vcr; Bios
upgrade of mobo; press the 'detect device' button a dozen times.
I even made a _fresh install_ on an extra partition.

The Problem/Failu
----------------------
No matter what I do the Tv- set is neither recognized by the card nor by
windows (device manager). With my old matrox I never had a problem like
that. so, the tv set does not seem to be the problem.
On the gforce tab in the display properties, I sometimes do not even get
the 'nview' entry in the tree window. instead there is an entry 'display
adjustments'.
--------------------------
--------------------------

Ok now, please make my day and give me hint.

Cheers and thanks a lot!

PS: The current Leadtek is the second card i have put in my system. the
first attempt was with the comparable sparkle version.

I spent an hour troubleshooting a machine with exactly this problem last
week only to find out that he had hooked it up to the video in port on the
vivo cable not the video out. I am really not trying to make you look silly
but maybe just worth a double check.
