Thank you all for the comments and tips. For the record, Norton is alive and
well in my PC and I have never delved into UseNet.

I'll first try a new address and see what happens.

Lucky for you, I think I know what you're talking about. Ordinarily, I don't
reply to posts that are not threaded.

I believe a poster in this group wrote that (s)he has never 'delved into
usenet'. This newsgroup is part of usenet, as are all the
Microsoft-sponsored public newsgroups.
