Default Gigacube 9600pro artifacts

Hi guys,
I just got a Gigacube 9600pro and I'm getting artifacts in both 2d & 3d.
I've tried 4 differnet drivers (2 ati catalysts, 1 omega, 1 manufacturer
edition) and the problems remain.
I have no errors in generic vga mode, but when it's enabled as the 9600pro I
get bad quality everywhere, even the first post screen on booting up.
I've taken some screenshots, maybe you guys would know if it's a software
error or just a bad card?
To be specific, in windows I get a faint blue, rectangular checkerboard
pattern over my screen that will come and go. 3d graphics (at least dx8.1 to
9.0) are torn up to hell.

Any diganosis? I'm runnig a 2500+ on a k7ncr18g mobo w/ 512 2700.

Thanks in advance.

(I'm seeing green text. wtf?)

If you're not overcloking the card, maybe is just malfuctioning. Return it
to the dealer, and execute the warranty. The radeon 9600 pro is a good
card, you should not have problems with it.

Any other opinion in the forum???

Checkerboards... that normally comes from to high overclocked memory.

I hope you don't overclock, but if you get this non-overclocked...
return the card and claim garantuee... any card should run fine out of
the box!

I took it back and the guy did say it did look like bad memory. I hadn't
OCed it yet but I was fearing it was something I had done, or it was just
incompatible with my mobo. But yeah, DXIW runs very smoothly on rather nice
settings, so I'm happy.
Thanks for the help guys.
Stu
