Old Toshiba XM-6102B drives can't read my CD-RWs.
Hi. How do I get these old CD-ROM drives to read my Sony and Memorex
CD-RWs? Newer computers with newer drives have no problems. I am using Windows 2000 SP4 (all updates) on a P3 1 Ghz system. The drive's light is on forever (can't read the CD-RW). Thank you in advance. -- "I don't believe in evil, I believe only in horror. Does it read CDR OK?
Are the CDRW's mastered or packet written? I've got a Toshiba XM 6201TA that may be a little newer that works fine for either; I suspect my model may be optimized for DAE which I specified when I had the system built years ago... Yours simply may lack the capacity to read CDRW... Tim K wrote in message ... Hi. How do I get these old CD-ROM drives to read my Sony and Memorex CD-RWs? Part of the problem is that the laser is too old/weak to read them.
New CDROMS are dirt cheap. wrote in message ... Hi. How do I get these old CD-ROM drives to read my Sony and Memorex CD-RWs? Newer computers with newer drives have no problems. Does it read CDR OK? Yes, HP and Office Depot brands. Are the CDRW's mastered or packet written? What is the differences? I burn my files to CD-RW in multisession so I can add more later on. Is this package? I also used Sony and Memorex brands for CD-RWs.
