Default Power consumption

Im floating between 6600GT and 7600GS AGP flavour.
Which one is fastest, and does it use much more power?
Do they need external molex power?

Martin.

I would go with the 7600gs but your going to need a good 350 ps or better.
The 66 also needs power.
My 6600gt is only 128 meg and most of the 7600gs have more memory and are a
step up.
If I upgrade I am going with the 7600gt.

The 7600GS is faster. However, look into the 7600GT AGP. It's a big jump
over the GS, up into 7800GS territory for a lot less money.

The 7600GS AGP does.

Not necessarily. I know people running the 7600GS with smaller PSUs than
that. Given your average PC with one CPU, one modest video card (like the
7600GS), one HD, etc, draws roughly 200W it's the real 12v capacity that
matters, not the nominal total wattage.

The 66 also needs power.

Not necessarily. I've heard of some AGP 6600GTs needing a Molex connector
but most don't.
