That's what's so annoying, and a bit puzzling, the carts are for the
same printer and they have the black in stock (it shows as allocated)
but not the colour, which is Awaiting Stock.

Oh, and there must be a load of other people in the same boat 'coz the
"stock" level of the ink cart has fallen from 255 when I ordered to 212 now.

Lexmark Z42/Z51/Z52 Colour Cartridge, Quicklinx RCHS for anyone here
that may have ordered one :P

BTW, it's now 15:30 Monday and it's still showing Awaiting Stock.

Oh ****ing great. I've just been to look at the order and now "Part
Despatch" is available. Looking at the Help it says that becomes
available 48 hours after the order was placed but it wasn't available
when I posted here this afternoon - ~50 hours after placing the order.

Of course _now_ it's too late for it to be shipped today, so that's
another days wait - they could have sent me a ****ing e-mail when Part
Despatch became available (unless it only becomes available after the
last despatch time to give them an extra day to get the missing item in).

There was a thread here, ooooh about 3 years ago, regarding how Dabs' stock
levels were a work of pure f(r)iction. One of the semi-regular posters - ISTR
Paul Sharrock, posted some reasoning that didn't make much sense ...

Just curious, so I had a look. It says 183 in stock now!

Anyone else think the "Lexmark unique 1200x1200 resolution" isn't?
Unique that is! BTW, that's Quicklink RCHWS.

According to the product page
http://www.dabs.com/uk/productView.htm?quicklinx=RCH it's RCHS - and
note that the URL just says RCH!

Hmmm, no wonder their "stock" levels are all to cock - the bloody thing
has 3 part numbers (one each for Z42, Z51, and Z52? although mine is an
X83)

Anyway, they've finally got them in as my order is now showing completed

That seems to be it - the elusive colour cart is now available and my
order is showing complete.

Interesting. Well when I try RCHS in the Quicklink box on the main page
it gives an error. Just RCH works as does RCHWS, which translates to the
URL

http://www.dabs.com/uk/productview?q...&referrerid=WS

I suppose the WS bit must mean web site. Certainly the Quicklink on the
product page is made from the three letter Quicklink with the refferid
tacked onto the end. Looks like you can put just about anything you want
to there!

I think those are some of the printers it's compatible with.

Anyway, they've finally got them in as my order is now showing completed

Sounds good.

BTW, haven't looked in detail, but what do you think of the
Lexmark "Return your Lexmark empty cartridge" programme? Recycling
printer cartridges has got to be a good idea. No third party
"remanufactured" cartridges though.

Well, everything finally arrived today but Dabs seem to have a strange,
inflexible system in place.

As I said in another post, Wednesday night I checked Part Despatch on
the two items in stock. Early Thursday afternoon (i.e. before they'd
despatched anything) all 3 items were shown as Picked and the order
flagged Complete. Great, I think, then 19:00 Thursday I get an e-mail
saying that the two items I'd selected for Part Despatch had been
despatched Parcel Force Next Day, then at 22:00 another e-mail to say
the third item had been despatched Letter Post!!!!

Seems that they couldn't add the third item to the Part Despatch items
once the ball had started rolling :-\

The ironic thing is that, because of where I live in relation to the PF
office I am one of the last drops on the round - stuff from Dabs always
arrives at 18:30-19:00 - so the third item sent Letter Post arrived
first - at 09:00 :-)

Go figure, as the Yanks would say.

BTW, haven't looked in detail, but what do you think of the

Now that looks good :-) Only thing is, I can't find anywhere on their
site about how much they cost to buy, despite the FAQ saying they are
available direct from Lexmark.
