Wow (No pun intended!) Thanks for the heads-up!

nVidia's latest statement on HardOCP:
http://www.hardocp.com/news/2010/03/...on_bad_drivers
"We are still root causing the issue..."

Never tried 196.75. However, I run my GTX285 at a constant 65% fan duty
cycle with Rivatuner, so it probably wouldn't have been damaging.

Hmm, still 196.21 on nvidia's site, think 196.75 is still beta and hence
would have some problems. So I'll stick to the version I have on currently.

..75 was released but has been pulled from site untill fixed. Got Nvidias
email message about rolling back from it to .21 for now.

Aye, someone emailed me on that and glad I don't upgrade right away in these
circumstances.

Why oh why is there so many dodgy drivers from Nvidia? It's a PITA!

The most interesting question right now would be why it's *only* those 3
Blizzard games. Bit too wierd for coincidence, no ? Thankfully I play
none of them, and the drivers are blazing fast. Keepers for me, fix or not.

My .75 revision kept the GPU temp at 151 C. After reverting to the earlier
version, my GPU temp is now 40 C. I don't play any games at all.

Version 196.75 was designed to increase sales of replacement
nVidia GPUs. Heh, heh. Actually, a bug in 196.75 turned the
fans off resulting in GPU failure. Who says software can't
destroy hardware?
