GTX 480 Unigine and 3D Vision Surround Demo (GF100)
If you haven't seen this yet, definitely worth a look. Looks like a very
decent card, depends what the pricepoint is tho. GTX 480 Unigine and 3D Vision Surround Demo (GF100) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vpdPS...layer_embedded rms |

Cool. Good to see nVidia upping the immersion factor with 3D surround. It
remains to be seen whether a single GTX 480 will have the horsepower to drive the setup with modern games though. (The card will have to maintain 120 fps *minimum* framerate at 5700x1200 to avoid eyestrain.) -- "War is the continuation of politics by other means. It can therefore be said that politics is war without bloodshed while war is politics with bloodshed." "rms" wrote in message ... If you haven't seen this yet, definitely worth a look. No the displays/glasses will have to maintain 120hz, you can have duplicate frames (i.e. 40fps inside of a 120frame sequence). |

That's true. Though to perceive 40 fps, the card will have to pump out 80
fps, which is reasonable. -- "War is the continuation of politics by other means. It can therefore be said that politics is war without bloodshed while war is politics with bloodshed." Until we get true 3D displays, the shutter glasses will have to stay.
Did you wear glasses to see "Avatar"? -- "War is the continuation of politics by other means. It can therefore be said that politics is war without bloodshed while war is politics with bloodshed."
