noise

I built a computer a few years ago using the Gigabyte GA-8IHXP. Ever since
it was new, it has made a strange noise, which I think is coming from the
fan used to cool which I believe is the chipset (it has the word "Gigabyte"
stamped on it, and on the manual has the letters 850E next to it). Not only
is the noise bothersome, I imagine that before too much longer it will go
out. Can I replace it myself and could anyone recommend a cooler (either
Gigabyte or some aftermarket cooler). Thank you.
