How can I Capture just the video from a DLINK IP Camera??
I have a Dlink DCS 5300G up and running from the web but can only view
the video in a DLINK page with all the DLINK stuff. I just want the video. Router is setup to use port 80 and 5001 control, 5002 audio, 5003 video. It's also real slow unless I'm on the local LAN, but I believe that's because I'm on Bellsouths DSL Lite, which is real slow. Once I figure out how to capture just the video, I'll work on the speed. Thanks for your help |

It may be because Port 5004 isn't defined in my router which I will add as soon as I'm at that location. Yes I did replace the IP address in the script with my current IP address. script language="JavaScript" !-- if ((navigator.appName == "Microsoft Internet Explorer")&&(navigator.platform != "MacPPC")) { document.write("OBJECT ID=\"VaCtrl\" WIDTH=362 HEIGHT=306"); document.write(" CLASSID=CLSID:A93B47FD-9BF6-4DA8-97FC-9270B9D64A6C"); document.write(" CODEBASE=\"http://24.45.76.223:5004/plugin/ h263ctrl.cab#version=1,7,0,5\""); document.write("PARAM NAME=\"Url\" VALUE=\"http://24.45.76.223:5004/ cgi-bin/video.vam\""); document.write("PARAM NAME=\"VSize\" VALUE=\"SIF\""); document.write("PARAM NAME=\"RemoteIP\" VALUE= \"24.45.76.223:5004\""); document.write("PARAM NAME=\"RemotePort\" VALUE=\"5001\""); document.write("/OBJECT"); } //-- /script I was happy to find a potential solution in the knowledge base, I'll really be happy if I get it to work |

How can I Capture just the video from a DLINK IP Camera??
Use a simple video capture device to capture the video from the A/V output
jack at the rear of the camera. If you want to broadcast it over the internet, use Unreal Media Server software (free for 15 users). Chris "hogman" wrote in message ups.com... The 5300G is a wireless IP Camera which is accesable from the net, which works. The only attachment to the camera is the power cord. I'm trying to capture the streaming video from my website, hopefully the script above will accomlpish this. |
