nVidia GeForce 6600 256mb AGP - Forceware ver 91.31
Since installing this driver update, every time I boot my system I get
a Tooltip message that "SLI has been disabled." What the F***! SLI should only be if I had more than one SLI compliant card, which I do not. Under 3D Settings, SLI Configuration, there is nothing but a reference to nVidia WEB site and it looks like a SLI card promo. There is no way to turn this SLI off. How do I turn OFF this error message? -- ==== Tecknomage ==== All technology which is sufficiently advanced becomes indistinguishable from magic. |

Actually, for the frist time ever, using nVidia Tech Support FAQ and phrasing the question correctly, I found the solution. They have a Registry fix (.REG file) that disables the SLI Balloon. This means that they must have had many users compline about this. The reason I posted the question was the first time I searched nVidia it did not return what I was looking for. Their fix also tells me they goofed in NOT having this disable feature in v91.31 driver's "nVidia Control Panel." Since the drivers recognized the new registry entry, it was already in the code. Thanks -- ==== Tecknomage ==== All technology which is sufficiently advanced becomes indistinguishable from magic. |
