Doom 3 Blows dont bothe

I have an LCD monitor and found the game way too dark also. What suprised
me was there was no gamma setting in the options menu, something that is
required if LCD owners want to improve the picture display.

I read if you press the CTRL - ALT - ~ keys, then that brings up the console
window. Then type "r_gamma 2" without the quotes, and its improved
everything for me 100%. I can now see all the areas that were black before.

Your opinion. The game only blows if you like super speedy game play -- as
opposed to exploration and a slow suspenseful pace.

The MTV hyper kiddies may not like it -- but the thoughtful people will.

it *does* get quite frenetic in the later levels.
