Default Film Scanners - Nikon about to replace the Super Coolscan 8000 ED?

Am really anxious to buy a highend film scanner that will do medium format
and it appears that the Nikon Super Coolscan 8000 ED is currently the best
out there. However, the recent discounting by Nikon has me wondering if
Nikon is about to introduce some newer, more advanced models - after all the
current line is several year old.

Has anyone heard anything about Nikon getting ready to introduce a
replacement for the Super Coolscan 8000 ED?

Many thanks for your response

J. Smith
