Default Sound Card Problem cracking noise, SB Live 5.1

Hi everyone,

I have a problem with my soundcard - i guess.
I have installed picaview 2.0 and also tried contextview pro, i
encounted this cracking sound when i preview mp3s. it seems to be
worst when i am previewing high bit mp3s eg.320 ones and quiet okie
for 128
Tried playing these songs on media player and winamp and no problem at
all. but i would sometime prefer to preview the music and choose not
to waste time for winamp or wmp to start up. Picaview is so bad tat
sometime it crash explorer. i dun think its picaview's fault. I ve
tried the lastest driver but the problem is still there.
More likly i guess is driver problem or sound card problem. does
anyone has the same problem? any solutions? helps is appreciated
thanks

this would suggest an incompatibility between your sound card driver and the other software. Have you a 'VIA' chippsetted main
board? all the 4in1's done?
