no signal input
Hi, I have this pc from a friend that u can here starting up but nothing
shows on the monitor. The monitor works fine. When I took of the graphics card from my puter and put it on my friends pcs motherboard that also didn't work(there didn't go any signal to the monitor(no signal input)). I switched the memory sticks with mine but to no avail either. Could it be a motherboard malfunction? |

Try hooking up the monitor to a known good computer. When you boot up your friend's computer does it make any beeping noises at all? -- No matter what happens, someone will find a way to take it too seriously. |

If it still doesn't boot up with graphics then you most probably have messed up the motherboard. Also check for a CMOS clear jumper. The motherboard documentation will show where it is. -- No matter what happens, someone will find a way to take it too seriously. |

Your video card is apparently dead.

It could easily be taken to mean that he removed his video card from his system, placed that video card in a friend's (formerly working system) and upon swapping his video card into the friends' system, at that point the friend's system no longer worked. |
