linux on notebook? newbie question

but isn't mentioned in the hardware support data (???) what should I think
about this?

Having supported graphics is a big plus of course, but the big Gotcha for many
laptops is poor or missing ACPI support. (like the Dell 1100 which can
often be had for dirt cheap but one would have to do a suspend via software)
