Default Security Hotfix 328310

I have a Radeon 64 DDR.

When i install Security hotfix from windowsupdate i get screen
corruptions- areas around the task bar, menus and windows appear
black.

It all works fine when i uninstall the hotfix.

Is this a known problem - is there a solution ??

thanks

WTF dude! What makes you think this is an ATi problem? Go post this in a
Windows XP newsgroup somewhere or something.

I think that this is BS anyway. I have installed every patch that
MS has posted on windows update and have never had a problem.
Of course all of my hardware is up to date. And I don't use any
kaaza type apps.

Of course you don't have an ATI card with a PAL TV tuner (as an example),
otherwise you'd not be so quick with your "it never happened to me so it
can't possibly be true" attitude.

No I don't....If I want to watch TV I turn on the TV. The point
that I was trying to get accross is that it is almost imposible to
match the infinate number of harware differences. I will usually
do a _lot_ of research before I buy any hardware.

So why didn't you say that? Why did you imply that a) Windows Update [and
pathes installed thereby] is infallible, and b) the guy has caused the
problem himself by using Kazaa or similar?

I will usually
do a _lot_ of research before I buy any hardware.

What's that got to do with the price of fish?

If your original reply didn't make sense, this one makes even less sense.
