Missing on-line documentation
More of a curiosity than anything else, I looked for on-line documentation for any of the Dell Latitude C610, Latitude D810, Inspiron 4100 and Inspiron 8100, kissing cousins that were the last of the Pentium III laptops. For me, they are useless. For someone else, maybe in another country, pretty awesome.
There is no longer any documentation on-line for any of these laptops. Dell must have begun running out of disk space on its web site. The message here is that if you need to handle the care and feeding of any older Dell gear, download the manuals now before they disappear into the ether. You never know when Michael Dell needs another gigabyte or two of disk space... Ben Myers |

Ben Myers If you go here and scroll down to the 3rd item from the bottom "Legacy Hardware Products" when clicked it takes you to a page where I found all four of your machines. http://support.dell.com/support/syst...2&~ subcat=84 |
