Angled RJ-45 plugs ??
Anybody has a source for angled (say 90 degs) RJ-45 plugs ?? Preferably as
CAT5E or CAT6 patchcords ... Do they exist ? thanx in advance. |

Due to the crimp design of the RJ series connectors I doubt this is even possible. As well as the plugs you would need a special (modified) crimp tool to use them. Also they would have to angle away from the release tab, because if they angled the other way you wouldn't be able to release them. |

I've seen right-angled extensions that could be plugged inline, but they're usually $4, quite steeply priced for a piece of plastic with 8 gold plated contacts in it. One alternative might be using solid-stranded cables and just putting a smart bend in it right where it leaves the jack. |

Thax for the reply ... I thought this may be the case.
The only solution that comes close is and angled (45 Deg) RJ-45 jack for the faceplate ... This provides an agled insert into the RJ-45 socket.
