Default Uninstall drivers

I have an AIW 9800 card and want to update the drivers. ( Doom 3 will not
run )( XP SP1, Intel 2.6g, 512 ram ) Should I uninstall the drivers from
the Add/Remove programs app before I run the cat uninstaller program? I have
downloaded both the latest cat drivers and the Omega drivers. Is one more
stable than the other?
Thanks
Marshall
