Default Will Dell Precision T7500 Support Lower Power Xeons L-Series?

The data sheet for the Dell Precision Workstation T7500 Indicates
compatibilty with these series for Intel processors:

- X56xx
- E56xx

Does anyone know if this workstation will work with the lower power Xeons
that are the L56xx series?

It won't. The BIOS doesn't support the low power variants.

Might also be the voltage regulator circuitry, too. The programmed
BIOS limitations for CPUs often protect motherboard and/or CPU from
damage when an incompatible combination is tried... Ben Myers
