been doing some reading on these. The 9550 comes in several flavors 250 and
400 core, 64 and 128 bit memory so it makes a huge difference which one you
are looking. Similarily, the 9600 non-pro has some variations but not as
much.
A 9550xt 400 core 128 bit memory gets close to 9600 pro speeds
A 9550 250 core 128 bit is close to 9600 and a 9550 250 core 64 bit is just
too slow.
The 9550 tend to score better on 3dmark03 and trail quite a bit on 3dmark01
which suggests some shader? optimization.
I have seen no evidence of the 9550 being a good overclocker - I was hoping.
For the $25 bucks extra I would still buy the 9600.
