Default !!! Dark Messiah of Might and Magic !!!

Hello,

As an NVIDIA SLI Enthousiast and lucky owner of TWO GTX 7900 cards I like to
know what good and cool games are out there and others probably too =D

So I can no longer hide my excitement for this game: Dark Messiah of Might
and Magic !

It has a pretty long single player campaign... I still have not finished
it... but I have played multiple days and are already convinced this is a
super game !.

So you might be wondering just like me, ok so you played:

1. Quake 1 (old school nice, secrets)
2. RTCW (ww2 on steriods/fantasy elements)
3. Call of duty ( more realistic ww2)
4. Doom 3 (horror / sci-fi )
5. Quake 4 ( horror / sci-fi )
6. Call of Juarez ( wild west beauty )
7. Battlefield 2 ( action desert storm/iraq war game)

So you kinda bored with all that and looking for something new and
refreshing but what ?

Dark Messiah of Might and Magic

might just be what you looking for !

It's like:

Rune meets RPG Dungeon Siege 2 meets Quake 1 meets The Beast Master !

When I first played Dark Messiah I noticed these quake 1 sounds... like menu
sounds... very cool old school vibe too it... like respect to quake 1....
but this time with modern update graphics and gameplay and refreshing story.

What does Dark Messiah have:

1. Very good graphics, maybe not the best, but good enough.
2. Very good sound and music, maybe not the best, but good enough.
3. Lot's of voices, enemies talk to you !!! VERY GOOD
4. Simple and nice menu's and upgrades for you "levelling".

5. VERY INTRIGUING/interesting story.

6. Lot's of different environements to play in...

7. Cool monsters.

9. You can swim under water...

10. Lot's of lineair play with little branches/dead ends to explore... very
nice... I like lineair play a lot ! Don't wanna spend my time wondering
around too much... I want progress in a game !

11. Hot mamma's =D

12. The magicians later in the game walked straight out of the Beast Master
=D LOL. Nice vibe too it.

13. Lot's of BLOOOOD, Lot's of horror.

14. Lot's of slashing and hacking enemies to pieces, kicking their assess
literally, finishing them off, slow motion mode for super strike with sword.

15. Simple levelling of your character, nice.

16. Some modest magic, nice.

17. Cool voices which tell most part of the story.... very nice...

18. Some climbing, like bow with rope... nice, very nice.

19. LOTS OF SECRETS !!! I LOVE THAT ! =D I missed that a lot in other games
!

20. Interaction with characters and environment... nice.

21. Some interesting but realistic puzzles... like getting a pit full with
water... or something like that... or reaching some part.... nothing to
complicated.. just nice =D

22. Lot's of barrels to kill with sometimes food in it.

23. Lot's of little potions lieing around.

24. Making your own swords ! Cool nice detail, very much fun.

The number of times I said:

HOLY****

I can't even count =D

And that's just single player. Unfortunately I can't play multiplayer for
now... some have said that it's great as well...

For now this game gets a 9 out of 10 !

and I haven't even finished it =D

There ya go folks... another nice super game for ya ! =D

Oh by the way...

This game might be an excellent game to port to the Nintendo WII so people
can slash with the WII controllers and such....

Could be a good workout for people who like arobics and such.

Bye,
Skybuck.

Played it with Nvidia card and a Pentium 3.2ghz, so I can say I've
seen it at best video configuration.

It is impressive, the graphics I mean... so if it's all you want...
you get the best... but at the same time I was playing Neverwinter
Nights 2... and...

well... DMofMM is BORING... BOOOOOOOORING... BORING!!!

Not a real roleplay game, not an adventure... it's like a laser disc
adventure of the past... you have to follow perfectly the storyline,
you don't have a chance to do nothing else..

BORING!

But that's what I like about it.

It's a gentle introduction into RPG + Shooter element.

I am not into RPG, I don't like RPG.

I just want to HACK AND SLASH.

DESTROY DESTROY DESTROY DESTROY.

BLOOD BLOOD BLOOD BLOOD LOL.

That's what I love about this game.

And explore a little bit.

I don't want to be completely dragged into RPG with other people for now...

Maybe I'll check out never winter nights 2... but it seems way too much for
me...

Thanks anyway.

Bye,
Skybuck

Wow,

I just finished this game.

Excellent game.

Very nice ending.

Very special ending too. You definetly gotta experience it... it was pretty
much the coolest ending in a game ever =D

Also it can have 4 different endings. Similiair but kinda different.

I don't wanna give it away, etc, I love the farther thing etc.

I wish I could have played with the farther and continue the game and
destroy the world or something.

Hopefully in a next game I can fight with farther LOL

That would be uber cool LOL.

I also watched the ending credits, to see if there was any secret message at
the end but nope

Also this game has many different voice actors for different countries for
example this game even has german, italian, french, etc voices ?!

Wow... it could be funny to replay this game in say german voices or so =D

Not sure if I have to reinstall it to get the voices haven't tried it et.

In short:

I love this game =D

I enjoyed it very much.

I hope there will be sequal or something with new enemies, new monsters, new
story, and maybe even "farther"

And I loved the xana voices too, she should be back as well LOL.

Maybe older, maybe hurt, maybe a devilish creature. but she should be
back... or maybe one can choose at the start... which one to continue
with... xana... or the other girl

Oh well... maybe even a new girl somewhere along the game.. more
competition... I also loved beating up the other girl... kinda funny.

Damn this was a really good game ! Hearing xana scream was lovely too... in
the water...

Also... the enemies that scream... I LOVE THAT !

Well done ! =D

Bye,
Skybuck.
