Default Ati radeon 9000 vs Geforce 3 ti 200

the 9000 may equal the geforce in D3D but will be 10-20% slower in OpenGL
due to ATIs poor OpenGL driver. the 9000 will likely have better 2D image
quality and better DVD playback but thats marginal and most ppl wont really
see the differance. and nvidias drivers are more stable and have fewer
compatiblity problems.

Here's a link with lots of video card comparisons:

At stock speeds, it looks like the 9000 is a better choice.

The ti200 will smoke the 9000.
http://www17.tomshardware.com/graphi...charts-05.html I've had a
9000 and it's a dog.

Don't spend more than $50 on it... okay.

The GF3-Ti200 is easily the faster card...

Lets put it this way, by CLOCK (paper stats) the 9000 should be
faster, but lets put it this way.

The 8500 went against the GF3-Ti200.... it lost. The 9000 was the
marketing replacement of the 8500. It was cheaper to manufacture,
same feature set... but a little bit slower. The 9100 & 9200 are in
the same family of DX8 cards and performance of the 8500 (but slower).

The GF3 is a good little card, but I wouldn't want to play UT2003 on
it. 2002 games and older will play well.
