Default Vista RC1

I have a Dell XPS 400 with 1 hard drive thats 160 GB. I want to try out
VISTA RC1 and have a dual boot system. I installed Partition magic 8 and am
a bit confused. It won't let me use the wizards because it says I have
partitions that are unmoveable so I need to use the operations menu. Should
I just resize my main c drive partition and then use the unallocated space
to make a new partition and drive letter? And if I do that will I be able to
install VISTA there and will it enable me to dual boot? TIA , I just don't
want to zap my original OS.
