Default CRYSIS vs MGS4

http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=149512

silly, yet interesting comparison. of course Crysis wipes the floor
with Metal Gear Solid 4.

MGS4 has better art direction, but Crysis kicks the living **** out of
MGS4 technically.

MGS4 would've had a chance if its graphics were still at the level of
the TGS 2005 trailer-- but since then MGS4 has been significantly
downgraded. MGS4 going from a trailer running on (probably) GeForce
7800 / 7900 SLI rig in 2005 down to the much weaker RSX in 2006 didn't
help at all.

that said, there's no way a $500~$600 PC could run MGS4 much less
Crysis at minimum settings.

Really? So you couldn't play Crysis on a $600 pc @ 640x480 with all
the details turned down? I highly doubt that.

Is it going to have a 1080p setting for the game, or will that just be for
the HD movies used to fill a bluray disk?

as Crysis is on PC i'd venture that neither will it be in 1080p, nor
on bluray

The remark was mean't for the semi interactive movie that will be MGS4.
Quite obviously a PC game will not be on Bluray, but we can have 1080p
resolutions and better, my monitors resolution could be called 1050p .

The big question is: Why would you want to? Forget if it is possible,
it isn't going to look that good.
