Default Mix Processor speeds in Workstation

Can a PIII-500 and a PIII-550 be installed on the same AP-400 motherboard? A
processor will run at less than it's rated speed, will it not?

Thanks all.

dont do it.

the processors run on the same bus speed, but have different steppings and
clock multiplier values.

Intel processors have been multiplier locked since the P5 days...

it isnt going to be a nice thing to do to your comp.
