Mixing memory sizes?
I currently have 1GB of Corsair PC3200LLPT in my machine, Twin X, 512x2 with
timings of 2-3-2-5, the deafult memory by Corsair is 2-3-2-6. My motherboard is a Gigabyte GA-8KNXP revision 2.1 whith FH BIOS. This is the memory i have: http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProduc...145-436&depa=1 My question is adding additional memory and mixing two 512MB modules with two 256MB modules, will it work? Here is the memory: http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProduc...145-432&depa=1 It's exactly the same as i have, save for being 2x256MB modules, my question is running four modules, 2x256 + 2x512, in dual channel? Do i have have all four memory modules the same size for dual channel to work? |
