Default can this run optonline internet service

I have a gateway p5-133 mhz , with 32 meg of ram and with windows 95b.
I think there are available pci slots so can I buy any pci 10/100 card?
so will this slower machine be able to handle optonline?

Thanks in advance

E,

I'm not sure what you mean by optonline, but you should have no
problem running a PCI 10/100 card. They're pretty basic. However,
because the motherboard is older, it won't run as fast online as a
newer system. I run a P5-90 MHz Gateway (upgraded to 200 MHz)
with 96 MB RAM and Win95a on my Charter 2 mbps cable broadband
connection.Works great...although slightly slower than my newer machines.
Still, it's very acceptable performance. I would recommend you upgrade
your RAM, just to speed everything up a bit.

I have no problems with a p5-133 and 64MB. Bit slow on a dial-up, but that's
not the computer's fault. It doesn't need a brain the size of a planet.

Optonline has the worst newserver. I dropped them for that, and spam is a
major problem.

But the speed of service is outstanding.

Plus, I don't get spam on my optonline account - perhaps it's because I
don't advertise it in any way online, but i have received VERY LITTLE of it.

In other words, if you can look past a poor news server and an occassional
e-mail lag that can drive you crazy, it's a great service to have -
especially if the one thing you are REALLY looking for is tremendous high
speed access.
