SATA drive setup
Have 2 SATA drives. NOT planning to set up in a RAID configuration so,
In the BIOS should they be set up as IDE or AHCI. The drives will be partitioned. I'm new at this type of HD so a bit confused. According to the manual to gain anything, drives should be set to AHCI. The first partition of the first drive will be the OS boot drive. Any help appreciated Mr. Bro |

I got this is 1 sec. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Advance...ller_Interface Seems to be a used only for a RAID set up and then only in Vista unless you have special drivers for XP. I'd leave the BIOS set to IDE if I where you. JLC |

SATA drive setup
If you're able to install sata hard drives then there should be something in
your BIOS. I've set several up in different computers and if you can install sata drives then in the BIOS there should be some options like non raid, or sata and pata (if you've got dvd or cd drives that aren't sata) or something like that. Just keep looking and you'll find it! |
