Default Proliant 5500 PIII zeons 700mhz possible?

I have a Proliant 5500 with 4 x PIII 500mhz zeons. Is it possible to use
the 700mhz 100FSB zeons in this machine?

Hello Alex,

It is not possible to use the 700/900 Mhz Xeons in that box. The chipset
does not support them, and additionally, the system does not support the
100Mhz REG ECC SDRAM that those processors require. I believe you can use up
to a 550Mhz 2M L2 Cache CPU in that system.

if you want more processing horsepower in a fairly affordable package,
consider the DL580 G1 as it can use the 700 and 900 Processors.
