Hi...

I have ordered my new Radeon 9700 PRO video card, for my new system

(A7N8X
Deluxe mobo)...

In a meantime (before my Mobo and CPU arives), Can I use this card on my
ABit KT7a-RAID Mobo???

As far as I read in a manual, Video card is a AGP 3.0, which can run 2x

4x
8x (I won't get 8x on my old mobo, of course) at 3 different

signals...3.3v
1.5v 0.8v...I Assume that 4x is running at 1.5v...And it has universal
slot...

Abit KT7a-RAID has AGP 2.0 which runs at 2x and 4x, dunno about voltages

and
if the slot is universal or not...
Also I dont know if those two versions of AGPs are compatible, To say it
right "if AGP 3.0 is compatible with AGP 2.0".

Somebody can help me if it will work?
I got plenty of juice so power is not a problem...

Any insides are apreciated...

I'm running a 9700np at the moment on an Abit KT7A-Raid. It's very
reliable (I have a 500W PSU) but not very fast - I get about 7500 on
3DMark2001SE which is about half the speed others report for this card
- may be a software problem.

Good luck

I had similar problems after upgrading directx. Problems were solved
reinstalling video card drivers.
