Default Flat panel montor

I got a new computer back at Christmas and it came with a FPD1730 lcd
monitor. I was told the LCD last longer than the CRT, but now
everyone is telling me to watch out because the "bulb" will blow and
then its cheaper just to buy another monitor. do I need to watch how
much I use it, because I really dont wanna spend another $300 for
another monitor.

Don't worry. If anything CRTs are more costly to repair and probably
not any more reliable.

Since 1997, I've gone through two CRT monitors. My present monitor, an FPD
1520 LCD, has been working flawlessly since 2/01. I would never consider a
CRT monitor again!
