Hi all, ive just ordered a new mobo asrock K7S8X and I was wondering what
graphics card would go well with this in a budget system. I have a athlon
xp2500 and 2 x 256mb pc2700 ram already. just looking for a card.
This pc will mainly be used to surf the web, home office tasks and
watching a few DVDs on.
Thanks for your help

Iuse a GF2 GTS. Just be aware that it has to be at least a 4x board. It
supports AGP 4x/8x.

I have the same board and picked up an SIS 64 bit AG315P-64 card for $24,
and that was some time ago so you might get a better deal.

This card is fast and has crisp graphics.

The motherboard sucks for OC and is slower than the EP 8K5A board that was
replaced by it.

Its a good motherboard for home computing.

I never could get the harddrive led to work correctly with this board, but I
have all ide drives occupied and I read this causes a problem with low-end
boards.

The original has no multiplier or vcore options, but I did get the FSB up
to either 210 or 215Mhz. Don't recall for sure, but I think it 215. The R3
model has full support for multipliers up to 24x, and also a +5% vcore
increse over the cpu default.

Never had a problem with either board for IDE led, even with an IDE raid
controller installed, drive led lights up when it's accessed too.
