Default RIP software - what newsgroup?

"Jerry C." wrote in :

Dave,

While I don't exactly remember the answer, I've seen RIP suggestions and
reviews in one of the privately sponsered forums such as:

dpreview.com
steves-digicams.com
wide-format-printers.org

Also try one vendor: parrotcolor.com

I need information about various software RIPs. I can't find the right
newsgroup to ask the question, google search coming up fairly dry. Is
this the place? Anyone know where I should look?

I am buying an Epson stylus pro 7600 large format printer, need a RIP
server that can run on mac hardware compatilbe with that printer. Need
recommendations.

Try looking for Yarc RIP's. Or something like that. If you do a google search
for Raster Image Processor, you will find it.
