Epson 640
I have a 640 that I don't use very often. I recently tried to use it and it
won't print black. I tried another cartridge and that didn't print either. Cleaned the heads with the utility a couple of times. No good. Ran nozzle check and cleaning routines a couple of more times. Nothing. Do I need to soak the heads to clean them? If so, how do I remove them and what do I soak them in? Pointers, please... TIA... Chicago, IL Hi Steve, I have had the same problem with my 895 and cured it with Windolene the the plain white type, I think it's called Windex in the USA. I removed the cart and dripped it into the nozzles with a very small shringe, it worked very well, no trouble since. Bryan Winchester UK |

Hello again -
A little Windex (US) and an eyedropper cured my problem in ma matter of minutes, literally. Printer works fine now. Thanks to all who responded. Steve E. "Zoab" wrote in message ...
