Since these cards are made in China nowadays, leaks happen from Chinese web
sites. :-) Front view of the performance HD5870/RV870/Cypress I linked befo http://www.chiphell.com/2009/0728/89.html Back side of the card's fan/sink assembly (note the vane used to guide exhaust air through a half-width slot bracket vent, as well as the 45-deg GPU die): http://www.chiphell.com/2009/0819/98.html Multiple views of the performance-mainstream HD5770(?)/RV840/Juniper: http://www.chiphell.com/2009/0820/99.html -- "War is the continuation of politics by other means. I 'assume' the DVI connectors still have VGA support through an adaptor, so analogue output is still available, in component form at least. I don't know what I am going to do. I stopped using my VCR's for recording movies long ago, after purchasing my Hauppauge HVR-1800 tuner. I use it for recording in 1080i or 720i or whatever is being supplied to me. But sometimes a friend or family will ask for a copy, so I hook up the video and audio out to the VCR collecting dust on the shelf and burn a VHS video for them. 25+ years of VHS tape going to waste. Jee - the money I have invested in that format. William |

The photo still shows four analog pins in each DVI connector, so VGA support is definitely there. ATi has been making S-video-free cards since the X800 days. In fact, all the Crossfire Master cards (X800, X850, X1800, X1900, X1950) lacked an S-video port. http://i17.photobucket.com/download-..._screen001.jpg I don't know what I am going to do. Jee - the money I have invested in that format. You still record to VHS tapes? Why don't you just burn the videos to DVD and give them to your friends or family, like everyone else has been doing for the last five years? VCRs, like CRT monitors, have been discontinued by almost every manufacturer. When my VCR crapped out last year, I had a difficult time finding a replacement. Eventually I ditched it for a hard disk-based DVR, and never looked back. -- "War is the continuation of politics by other means. Stack the damn things together and shoot them with a .50 BMG rifle (or .510
DTC if you live in Kalifornia). http://www.viddler.com/explore/HardOCP/videos/32/ -- "War is the continuation of politics by other means. Yes, most of us who are here would likely be using DVD-R's and recording disks for family, but many out there still use vcs's and record from cable.
